Here is the latest blog from the HIMSS Privacy and Security Committee…called PSST!  Keep reading to learn more about this month’s topic – Privacy and Security at HIMSS Annual Conference – by HIMSS Privacy and Security Committee member Sriram Bharadwaj, CISSP, CLSSBB, CPHIMS, Chief Operating Officer, Business Strategix Inc.
Within the realm of healthcare privacy and information security, the HIMSS Conference once again presents a ton of opportunities to learn, experiment and connect with experts. With all that the HIMSS Conference has to offer, the Privacy and Security Committee thought it may be helpful to highlight some of the opportunities you can take advantage of.

NEW at HIMSS15! is the HIMSS15 Cybersecurity Command Center.  Located in Hall B, Booth 8175, the HIMSS15 Cybersecurity Command Center is a new space focused on cybersecurity threats.
At the HIMSS15 Cybersecurity Command Center you can learn from industry and government experts on the challenging and dynamic cyber threat landscape and how these threats are being tackled, test your cybersecurity IQ, converse with peers, experience a simulated ransomware attack, take a cybersecurity quiz, and participate in the daily “Capture the Flag” game where users can compete for prizes to protect a virtual hospital network.
In addition, attendees can evaluate products and services in the market today that can assist with training, preparation, response techniques and learn how HIMSS is integrally involved in this space through its education and advocacy efforts.
